Are you about to eat but afraid to gain weight?

People today are so conscious of their body that many products and services available in the market address to these concerns. Health and wellness clubs are on the rise with many people trying so hard to be just in the right weight and maintaining it.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the small yet mighty acai berry!

The acai berry, commonly pronounced as a-sigh-ee is a small, round and purplish-black berry which is indigenous to the Amazon rainforest area. The fruit is made up of a large seed and a minimum amount of pulp. Its appearance resembles those of the grapes and the blueberry, but compared to them the acai is much smaller and has a much darker color. Despite of having a smaller size, this berry contains ten times more the antioxidant benefits of grapes and twice that of the blueberry.

The acai fruit grows in some palm trees found within the thick rainforest. These trees are known to grow to lengths of eighty-two feet and more. They grow in bunches (picture a banana), and each palm tree may contain three or at most eight bunches.
Natives of Brazil have been using the acai berries as part of their meal intake. They use the extracts of the berries either as refreshments or as a mixture to their dishes.
